Somewhere along the line, the “experts” decided caffeine needed credentials — “notes of this, hints of that,” “bio-hacked enlightenment,” even prestigious awards — and let’s not forget, sniffing coffee. Reminds me of $10 bottled water!
Yeah, we roast small batches and source the good stuff too. We just don’t hang medals on it or turn it into a science project. We do it because that’s how coffee’s supposed to be made — fresh, honest, and without the theatrics.
Kaptein isn’t here to win awards or join the snobbery club. We’re here for the people who actually get things done — the ones who don’t need a tasting seminar with their morning cup.

FOUNDER'S STORY
Before I ever roasted a bean, I spent nearly two decades chasing crab on the Bering Sea — where twenty-hour days and frozen decks were just part of the job. Out there, coffee wasn’t comfort. It was survival.
Kaptein was born from that same grit — built for the ones who show up early, stay late, and push through when everyone else taps out. This isn’t coffee made to impress the experts. It’s coffee made for those who actually need it.

I've tried most of the other dark roast k-cups out there available online: Black Insomnia, Death Wish, Keurig, Green Mountain, Better Buzz, etc, etc, Storm Warning is my favorite. I brew it then put it the fridge overnight ( I wake at 4:30AM).
Anyways, it's so smooth, never bitter and a clean aftertaste. I can sip it or swill it with ease. Try it.

I love the k-cup pods. They are so easy to manage. Storm Warning in the pods are just as tasty as they are in the regular bagged coffee.
